Recently Sold at Central Park West

One of my homebuyer clients recently closed on a condo at the iconic mid-century modern Central Park West in North Central Phoenix.  These condominiums were designed by Defiel & Miller Architects and built in 1965, and each is centered around their own atrium/private patio design concept for each unit.  This atrium design was inspired by the central court of an ancient Roman house, and provides substantial natural lighting with floor to ceiling glass in each of the two bedrooms and all along one edge of the living room.

This particular home was in need for some heavy updating, but fortunately my client is a talented designer and architect-in-training with some great plans in place to renovate and bring it into modern day style….I can’t wait to see it when it is finished!

See the Modern Phoenix page for more great history and drawings of Central Park West.
